Join our team as a Business Intelligence Intern during the summer and Feed Your Wild Side! Your internship will be based in Minneapolis, MN. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through formal and informal training, developing reports, dashboards, visualizations, attending events, networking with fellow interns, working with key Jack Link’s leaders and team members. At the completion of your internship, you will conduct a final presentation on your internship experience.

As a Business Intelligence Intern within Jack Link’s, you will work closely with the technology and business teams, gaining formal and informal training, with rotations in the following areas:

Business Intelligence Technical responsibilities:

  • Overview of data warehouse design and migration using SAP technologies
  • Gain understanding of data warehouse design leveraging SAP Hana columnar database
  • Gain understanding of SAP Hana data modeling tool and SAP BI Business Objects suite
  • Gain Experience with SAP BI tools, Analysis for Office, Webi, Design Studio, Lumira
  • Develop various BI deliverables for business teams, reports, dashboards, visualizations

Business Intelligence Business responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings between business teams and Business Intelligence team
  • Identify and define business questions and associated data needs
  • Partner with the business team to create actionable Business Intelligence deliverables and insights leveraging an iterative approach
  • Present Business Intelligence deliverables to business partners for review and feedback
  • Final presentation to the leadership team to recap the experience

Job Requirements


  • Academic focus in Information Technology with Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
  • Team player with a “can do” attitude
  • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Quick learner
  • Ability to work with an iterative and incremental development environment
