Job Description


E-Commerce is changing how consumers shop for food. Our customers - from traditional grocery to AmazonFresh - are trying a variety of models from home delivery and meal kits to curbside pick-up and personal shopper services. No matter the model, Jack Link’s needs to win when shoppers buy protein snacks online. This new position on our Marketing team is instrumental to delivering Jack Link’s business objectives.



The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:


Ecommerce Strategy & Execution

  • Create & implement Jack Link’s brand ecommerce strategy to drive profitable online sales which meet company objectives
  • Lead online revenue growth of by ensuring an engaging consumer experience which drives acquisition, retention and loyalty
    • Direct strategic roadmap
    • Development and execution of the Jack Link’s brand email marketing strategy
    • Manage development agency to ensure site functionality and accuracy
    • Develop and implement ratings & reviews strategy


  • Develop & implement annual business plans in concert with brand and sales teams to deliver business objectives with retailers such as Amazon, and others
  • Measure performance making key strategic insights, recommendations and specific action to accelerate business growth
  • Leverage data to uncover nuanced insights to drive strategy
  • Stay current on trends and best practices to ensure online platforms and recommend enhancements & tools to ensure Jack Link’s is performing at maximum potential

Merchandising of E-Commerce Sites

  • Oversee product merchandising across the variety of online customers such as Amazon, retailers and on to improve traffic, conversion rates and increased average order value
  • Define and develop new product offerings working with Marketing, Sales, and R&D
  • Create & lead the implementation of content strategy to optimize product listings to improve search visibility and conversion rates including PIM management and syndication


Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary marketing contact and subject matter expert for internal sales and marketing teams
  • Facilitate learning so sales, shopper marketing, brand managers and social media team understand how our strategic customers – from traditional grocery to Amazon Fresh – and work<>
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Job Requirements



Required Education: Bachelor’s degree, Marketing


Required Experience: 5+ Years experience with e-commerce, digital technologies, digital media


  • Experience working with Amazon and working knowledge of Vendor Central
  • Working in Consumer Packaged Goods Industry (CPG)



    • Demonstrated ability to drive product sales online
    • Strong acumen in search engines, digital media and user experience including strategic and tactical knowledge of SEO/SEM, PPC and running media campaigns
    • Translating sales/retailer requests into actionable programs to drive meaningful business results
    • Understanding of online merchandising, marketing, email or other related digital activities
    • Ability to build annual plans and budgets
  • Practical, hands-on knowledge of the ecommerce retail landscape, merchandising opportunities and marketing strategies to win with shoppers
  • Digital and Mobile savvy with a curious mindset to constantly learn about new/evolving technologies. 
  • Possesses a drive for business results, showcasing strong analytical skills, effective communication skills, ability to think strategically, self-motivation, and a passion for the consumer and marketing 
  • Passion for identifying consumer insights with the ability to translate insights into business opportunities 
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment and initiate new processes/ideas to address opportunities 
  • Capable of building strong cross-functional relationships with proven ability to influence with integrity—ability to speak to and engage across varying levels in the organization 


  • Strong sense of urgency 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and employees
  • Must demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, and employee motivational skills.
  • Proficient in Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

The work environment is a plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet / slippery floors. However; the vast amount of work is conducted in a climate controlled office. Travel may be required.
