Job Description

The Financial Reporting Accountant will manage projects and recurring activities within three primary areas of responsibility: global period-end accounting close and consolidation process, financial reporting, and standardization of internal reporting.

Within these areas, you will be responsible for completing the period-end close consolidation process timely. This responsibility includes formalizing close documentation and providing other suggestions to streamline the process.  You will assist the Financial Reporting Manager with the preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual financial statements as well as other required internal and external reporting.  You will work with accounting and finance teams to help develop resources to standardize and simplify financial reporting.

Outside of the primary responsibilities, you will assist the Financial Reporting Manager with other tasks that include, but are not limited to the following: accounting policy and standards, US GAAP interpretation, internal control and process improvement, external audit, etc.

The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Support periodic close and consolidation process of company-wide financial statements. 
  • Prepare consolidating journal entries.
  • Coordinate internal data collection to assist with preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Perform process improvement assessments and make recommendations to simplify and standardize internal and external reporting.
  • Develop tools and resources to help drive reporting efficiencies and comprehension.
  • Provide US GAAP interpretation and prepare technical memorandums that document accounting issues in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner.
  • Assist with internal and external compliance efforts (i.e. annual audited reports, controls, census data,etc.). 
  • Provide support and assistance to external auditors.
  • Participate in other projects as required.

Job Requirements


Requirements Education and Experience:

  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Required Experience: 2 years of related work experience
  • Preferred: Familiar with SAP and BPC consolidation system
  • Preferred: CPA licensed

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Background in US GAAP guidelines and financial reporting requirements.
  • Ability to interpret and explain accounting policy to cross-functional users.
  • Ability to execute and follow instructions, communicate progress, and meet internal deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate a strong documentation acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
