JOB SUMMARY: Provides support and back up for production and maintenance staff. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist

The Maintenance Supervisor’s primary duty is to keep the plant running in a safe and efficient manner. Secondary duties are as follows:

  • Suggest improvements; continuously improve the quality of all support activities.
  • Develop/implement/maintain the computerized maintenance system
  • Develop/schedule/assign work schedules
  • Follow up checks on completed work
  • Manage personnel within the department
  • Manage projects and completion dates as assigned
  • Research and suggest improvements regarding cost savings, processing improvements, etc.
  • Order parts as needed
  • Training and instruction of maintenance personnel
  • Coordinating with outside vendors as required
  • Maintains a clean work area and follows all safety procedures (i.e. Lock-Out/Tag-Out, appropriate PPE, etc.) to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Follows and adheres to all procedures, polices, and work rules including OSHA, Electrical Codes, USDA, and Jack Link’s regulations and procedures.
  • Is knowledgeable of all company rules, regulations, policies and procedures and complies with them at all times. Follows all departmental Standard Operating Procedures and reviews them regularly.
  • Promotes a high degree of morale, positive attitude and motivation in Plant. This includes cooperation, communication, respect and coordination between all employees.

1st Week: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

2nd Week: Wednesday and Thursday

Hours: 5am-530pm


    • Required: Vocational or Tech diploma or equivalent, working knowledge of electrical/electronic and PLC’s. Minimum three years of previous maintenance work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred: Associates degree in Packaging Technologies or Electronics with five or more years of manufacturing maintenance experience, preferably in a food industry



Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

    • Keep accurate records.
    • Communicate with other people effectively.
    • Must meet project deadlines without supervision.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Good organizational skills; demonstrated ability to prioritize work load effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to perform heavy physical work, exercising up to 50 pounds of strength frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work involves stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, and grasping.
