POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Planning Analyst position at Jack Links supports Trade Marketing and the sales team. This position’s primary responsibility is to provide pricing and promotion analysis and recommendations to improve trade spend effectiveness and efficiency to the sales team and the customer. They will work with our Sales Planning Tool, Business Data Warehouse, and consumption data (Nielsen) as their primary data sources to mine and organize data into actionable recommendations that provide a stronger ROI to Jack Link’s.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales Planning Tool

-Providing analysis of trade investments for promotions and pricing to determine what’s working and not working to enhance our trade investment deployment and ROI for Jack Link’s.

-Provide insights and recommendations based on key learnings to entire channel team to enhance trade effectiveness and efficiency for Jack Link’s and our customers.

  • Working with Segment Reports- Manage and analyze monthly sales reports to create distribution, pricing, shelving, and merchandising recommendations to improve business and brand performance.
  • - Create Ad Hoc reports for Sales and Trade Marketing teams as needed.
  • -Providing analysis of Retailer performance within category thru customer’s warehouse data system; including competitive performance
  • Work closely with Category Management/Business Analysts to cross reference customer warehouse database with POS/Nielsen consumption database to uncover business opportunities and recommendations
  • Post promotional evaluation to understand customer’s ROI and Jack Link’s ROI and other performance measures on a promotion.

-Prepare and present presentations to Sales and Trade Marketing regarding Trade Spend Effectiveness and Best Practices for trade investments for each Channel of Business.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4 year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance

 

  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
  • Team player with a “can do” attitude
  • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Quick learner
