The Sr. Sales Analyst position is a role within Jack Link’s Sales Planning department. In addition to the basics of the SPA role, this position will work cross functionally with the Trade Marketing Managers and sales teams with a key focus on analysis of business results through SPT execution and reporting to improve overall business results.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Sales Planning:

    • Proactively engage with the Trade Marketing Managers within channel responsibility to forecast and dissect business activities of field sales
    • Engage with field sales to analyze SPT reports to improve business and brand performance through improved promotional and SPT execution
    • Provide timely and accurate assessment to field sales on key next steps identified to improve reporting results and business metrics  

Analysis of Sales Results:

    • Perform regular analysis of sales office performance utilizing the full suite of available SPT reports with channel leads and TMMs
    • Responsible for all Post Promotion Analysis (PPA’s) within their assigned channel team
    • Create Post Analysis presentations with TMMs to Channel teams to enable teams to make informed decisions on promotional efficiency

Project/Key Initiatives:

  • Continue to improve the organization’s accuracy and understanding of SPT by creating and facilitating necessary training
  • Take the lead on ad hoc projects for the SPA team focused on enhancements of SPT, strategic planning and trade efficiency
  • Engage with IT and SPT development team as the voice of sales regarding tool performance and enhancements to continue to meet the organization’s changing needs

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidates should possess the following education, skills and experiences: 

  • 4-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance
  • Strong business acumen coupled with SPT system expertise
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent problem-solving ability
  • Highly developed skills in oral and written communications
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PPT, Outlook etc.).
  • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
  • Quick learner and willing to initiate projects with limited direction
